Kernersville - Mr. Clarence Samuel "Sam" Lawson, age 59, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Heritage Hills Baptist Church, Winston-Salem. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Sam was the son of the late Rose Chappell and Clarence Samuel Lawson, Sr. He was an Inspector and Supervisor for residential construction. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother Laney Lawson. Survivors include his loving wife Joyleen Lelia Nicholson Lawson of the home; son Jeremy Lawson and Stephanie of Rocky Mount, Virginia; sister Sandra Lawson of Richmond, Virginia. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service. Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
