Clarence Pierce Sall
April 28th, 1938 - August 18th, 2024
With family prayerfully at his side, Clarence Pierce Sall, 86, passed away peacefully August 18, 2024 at Fair Acres Manor in his home town of Greeley Colorado.
He was born April 28, 1938 to Ralph Harold and Lucille Mary (James) Sall at the Weld County Hospital in Greeley.
Growing up on a farm east of Greeley with his father as his guide; Clarence learned from a young age about responsibility and the value of hard work. He loved anything with wheels beginning with his stroller and growing into his bicycle. In 1956, he graduated from Greeley High School and went on to serve in the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis and in subsequent years. With his license and freedom, Clarence’s love of wheels developed into a passion for hot rod cars. On November 24, 1963, Clarence drove away from the First Congregational Church with his beautiful bride, Doris Darlene. They met while cruising “Dizzy Block,” and shared sixty years of marriage and three beloved children: Cathi, Karen, and Lorin
A dedicated and hard worker, Clarence, worked in construction, cement work, scrapping and recycling, and mechanics. He and Darlene also owned a gas station and a Ryder truck rental business.
Clarence was an admirable husband and father and he passed his tireless work ethic on to his children. He lived his life with honor, loyalty and incomparable love. He loved with his whole heart and was fiercely protective of those in his world.
Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great- Grandpa to his family; Clarence was thankful to have shared his life and love with his wife, Darlene, three children; Cathi (Marty) Schmidt, Karen (Tony) Tanking and Lorin (Julie) Sall; eight grandchildren; Katie, Kristen, A.J., Alayna, Rachel, Justin, Ashley and Amber; 11 great grandchildren and his sister, Brenda Sall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Andersen.
Clarence’s Life Celebration will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday October 5, 2024 at the Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, with a reception to follow. Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com.
