Claude Burdette Jenkins

JENKINS, Claude B. 88, Tampa, FL passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. He was born in Panda Belgium Congo, Africa and moved to Tampa from Texas in 1992. Claude served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He went to Colorado School of Mines on a football scholarship and graduated with a double Master’s degree in Business and Engineering as well as earning his Law degree. He retired as an oil executive with Aminoil, Phillips Petroleum and Mesa. Claude thoroughly enjoyed reading, researching companies, investing and was an avid reader of the Wall Street Journal. He was also a member of Hunter’s Green Country Club and enjoyed playing tennis and golf and loved watching football. He is preceded in death by the love of his life Miss. South Dakota 1954, Barbara in 2016. Claude is survived by his daughters, Renee Duci and her husband, Frank of Wesley Chapel, Rhonda Mendoza and her husband, Stephen of Tampa; sons, Randy of Houston, TX, Rich and his wife, Galyna of Dallas, TX; sister, Lilliane Fischer of Encino, CA; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Candace, Erica, Casey, Jenni, Alexandra, Kendall, Kenzie, Katherine; eight great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Connor, Callie, Eva, Emma, Carter, Chase and Cooper. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
