Claudia Alston McGregor

Claudia Alston McGregor, 85, of Pelion, SC and Maggie Valley, NC, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Claude and Corrine Bonnette Alston. Born on February 23, 1936 and raised in Littleton, NC, Claudia was a devoted wife, a very sweet and loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and a good friend to many. She loved her Lord and was involved in her church, authored her introspective works “Reflections of Life”, and was retired as dental assistant having worked under Dr. Sassnett, DDM. Claudia is survived by her three children: Ronnie Jaco (Kim) of Irmo, SC, Robin Aylor (Jose Macedo) of San Diego, CA, and David McDaniel of Pelion, SC. She deeply loved her two grandchildren: Evan Alvord and Kaitlin McDaniel; two great-grandchildren: Cecilia and Camila Alvord; and four nieces: Kay James (Glenn), Gloria Mitchum (Bob), Judy Kossman (Bruce), and Susan DiBiase (Greg); along with several great nephews and a great niece. Claudia was predeceased by two brothers, whom passed during infancy; her beloved sister, Joanne Alston Geiger; and great (as in “wonderful”) nephew, Justin DiBiase. Claudia also suffered the recent passing by her husband of 22 years, Humphrey B. McGregor. A heartfelt thanks to Agape Hospice for the helpful, diligent and attentive care shown to our dear mother. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC.
