March 3rd, 1919 - October 25th, 2006
Lynch, Clayton R. ?C.R.,? 87, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday Oct. 25, 2006 at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he came here in 1968 from Mt. Vernon, Indiana. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps as a Master Sergeant during WWII. He owned and operated Lynch Oil Company which later merged with Ashland Oil Company in 1958. He served as a member of the Blowing Rock Hospital Board of Trustees for many years in Blowing Rock, North Carolina where he and his wife were summer residents. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, and former member of the Blowing Rock Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Agnes; a son, Al Lynch, Parrish, FL; three nieces; one nephew; and four grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers-NE St. Petersburg
