Clementine V. McMahon

Clementine V. McMahon, 93, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Gloversville, NY on October 26, 2013. She was born in Rotterdam Junction, NY on February 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Clement and Maria DiMeo Votino. Clementine married the late Ciro J. Palazzo in 1940, they shared a union of 24 years until his passing in 1964. Together they raised six children. She remarried James P. McMahon in 1968, their union lasted a beautiful 42 years until his passing in 2010. The daughter of Italian immigrants, she went on to be a business owner, avid volunteer and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was known for her incredible sense of style, generosity and passion for her family. She is survived by her beloved children, CiroJosephine Palazzo, Jr. of Amsterdam, AlbertLorraine Palazzo of Ocala, FL, RichardTheresa Palazzo of Long Island, NY, SusanDavid Winters of Gloversville, and Tina Palazzo of Broadalbin; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive. She is predeceased by her son Dominic Palazzo and brothers, Louis, George, James, Albert, William, Nicholas and Erminio. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 4pm until 7pm at the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY 12010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on East Main Street in Amsterdam, NY. Rev. John Medwid as celebrant. The burial will follow on Thursday at the Long Island National Cemetery.
