Cleta Tanner February 22, 1909 �" February 20, 2007 Age: 97 Residence: Greeley, CO Tribute: Cleta Tanner was born in Collinsville, MO to John F. and Louisa (Lee) Natto. Mrs. Tanner lived in Collinsville and attended a country school there until the 8th grade. On September 15, 1926 she married Bill Filkins in Iowa, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Tanner moved to Greeley in 1946. On June 26, 1986 she married Keith Tanner in Greeley. She worked as a homemaker raising her children. Mrs. Tanner was a loving mother and wife and she loved to garden. She was also a member of Galeton Community Church since the early 1950s and a member of the Galeton Ladies Aid. Mrs. Tanner died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at North Colorado Medical Center �" Hospice & Palliative Care Unit. Survivors: Husband, Keith Tanner of Greeley; daughter, Maxine McElhinney of Tucson, AZ; stepson, Jerry Tanner of Greeley; stepdaughters, Gwen Taylor and husband Ray of Santa Maria, CA and Gail Dalton and husband Dick of Eaton, CO. She is also survived by granddaughter, Kate Echeverria and husband Ben of Arvada, CO; six step grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Her first husband, Bill Filkins in 1973; parents; daughter, Donna Filkins in 1953; and son-in-law, Glenn McElhinney. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at Galeton Community Church in Galeton, CO.
