Clidie "Lucille" L. Conrad

Clidie Lucille Conrad was born January 13th, 1945, to Clyde and Mary Norris, of Jay Oklahoma. They then moved to Wilder, Idaho where she continued to live and raised 5 children. Lucille was called home February 3RD 2022 while being surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her beloved husband Richard Conrad, her son Shawn Rhodes, three brothers and her eldest sister, along with her two grandchildren Tre and David Fernandez. She leaves behind her five children-their spouses, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, and her five siblings. But she left behind so much more. Lucille had this unequaled ability to love, and she loved unconditionally. She set no boundaries on how she loved you and her children. Her family not only felt it but heard it daily and witnessed it our entire lives. She had many trails in her life and you’d never hear her complain, always thankful and blessed for what and who she had. She enjoyed going on the road with her husband Richard, and any other time they could get away. Her love for the outdoors was years of hunting camp, camping in the summers, sometimes staying the entire summer in the hills. Youd always find her next to a creek with her children, and grandchildren. One day was always dedicated to huckleberry picking which always turned into more days because she made it a sweet adventure. She always felt like HOME! Home is where the heart is, and there’s no place like home. She taught each of us that this life is ours to live and live it with God always by our side. Family was and is and always should be the closest thing, help one another along the way. Always tell the ones that are dear to you that you love them. Never go to bed angry and forgive others. Being the strongest woman, we all know and loved, she was also the most caring, gentle, kind soul. She was always there. “I love you” and shed always smile and say that she loved you more, well then, I love you most and her reply to this little competition would be “not possible I loved you first”. She made everyone’s lives better by simply being here. In the past year Lou was told that she had lung cancer and after many scans, back and forth dr. apts the news was I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do to treat it. The ride home was quiet and emotional for her daughter and granddaughter, until she said well I’m sorry girls that was a wasted trip, let’s go home I think I need a banana split with all the toppings. She never complained, she was always the one apologizing. She was always needing and wanting to know if we were all going to be ok once she was gone. That’s all she was worried about as her body began to grow tired and her heath declined. She prayed for her children and family to always know she loved them, and that she was proud of each and every one of them. She wanted to go home, but as mommas always do she wanted to make sure we would all be ok, ill see you again, this is only a parting not a goodbye. Knowing that God waited for her to agree to come home she was finally at peace. We can all picture the reunion in the sky that day, as arms welcomed her home. No sadness, no sorrow, no troubles I see. There will be peace in the valley for me. We love you more >3 Funeral service will be held on Monday, 1:00 pm February 21, 2022 at Flahiff Funeral Chapels, 27 E. Owyhee Ave. Homedale, Idaho. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at 613 Mitchell Dr. Wilder, Idaho. Interment will be held following services at Wilder Cemetery.
