Clifford Gross—LEXINGTON, SC - Clifford Gross, 93, of Lexington entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2018. Born June 26th, 1925 in Jacksboro, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Harley and Sarah Gross. He trained in the Army as a paratrooper and was assigned to the Military Police in Italy. He used his military benefits to attend Columbia Bible College and then transferred to Appalachian Bible Institute. After fifty-four years of faithful service alongside his wife Reathel he retired from World Team (The West Indies Mission) where he served first in Cuba and later on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Vincent. He began work in Cuba at the bible school printery, and in the following years he and Reathel also worked in church planting and pastoral responsibilities, developing and writing study material, and teaching college level classes for local pastors. For the last several years of ministry they focused on teaching biblical based marriage and family living classes and running HIS Printery, supporting churches with printing services. Clifford is survived by children; Mark (Beth), Tim (Julie), Tom (Jenny), Sue (Greg Sox), grandchildren; Kimberly (Jerry Freeman), Christie Gross, Striker and Caroline Sox; and great-grandchildren, Maddie and Hudson Freeman and Colten Sox, all of Lexington. He was preceded in death by brothers, Glenn, Willie, Walter and twin brother, Clyde and sister, Mable Webb. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the Round Hill Baptist Church at 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC with Pastor Don Turner officiating on Sunday, September 9th at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM prior to the service in the church's Multipurpose building.
