Live video feed will start Saturday 22nd @ 3:00 PM. Clifford Maxwell, 80 of Suntree passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 2nd 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Cliff was born in Canada. After graduating high school, he attended St. Francis Xavier University. There he met his best friend, roommate and loving wife Shirley. They were married May 17, 1957. After graduating from Xavier, he joined the Canadian Air Force, served 15 years and retired as a Major. With his dual citizenship he came to the U.S. and worked as a Project Manager with GTE, Harris and Lockheed Martin and later furthered his career in consulting. Cliff had a very kind heart and was well known for his work ethics and great sense of humor and he will be missed by all. Cliff was active in many sports, hockey, basketball, track in high school and college, ski instructor and was on the ski patrol and was a high school football referee. He loved golf and was a big fan of football especially the Washington Redskins and Virginia Tech. He ran his first 5K in 2002 and came in 3rd. He loved to read, cruise and spend time with his family. He has four loving daughters: Denise Bridge (Clyde Bridge son-in-law), Barbara Turville, Kimberly Maxwell and Pamela Maxwell, in addition he has six grandchildren: Shannon Kerney (Dave Kerney grandson-in-law), Danielle Buckley (Brian Buckley grandson-in-law), Mathew Hughes (Holly Hughes granddaughter-in- law), Brandi Maxwell, Jerrett Bridge, Jennifer Bridge. He has five great-grandchildren: Briland Buckley, Madison Kerney, Devon Kerney, Corbin Buckley and Kaiden Hughes (due August 28, 2013). He is also survived by his siblings Kenneth (Dee sister in law), Bruce ( Connie sister in law) and Laurie Maxwell. The family thanks the devoted caregivers from Hospice. A celebration of life will be held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral home 5400 Village Drive, Viera Fl. 32955 June 22, 2013 at 3:30pm, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org/donate In honor of Clifford G Maxwell.
