Fultonville, NY- Clifford L. Monk, 77, of Old River Road, passed away Saturday at his home after a short illness. Born December 28, 1939 in Amsterdam, New York, he was the son of the late Carl and Loretta (Kennedy) Monk. He was a graduate of the Fultonville High School. After graduating from High School he went to work for Bellinger's Farm in Fultonville for 18 years. He worked for Culligan of The Mohawk Valley in Fultonville and was last employed as a Bulk Milk Truck Driver, for Charles H. Eaves & Sons Trucking Inc. in Cobleskill, for over 25 years until retiring in 2002. Cliff enjoyed working on tractors and working in the woods. His true passion was his Dodge GTX. On March 23, 1968, he married the former Roseanne LaRose. Besides his wife Cliff is survived by two sons, James C. Monk and Wayne H. (Nicole) Monk both of Fultonville; a brother, Carl Monk of Fultonville; a sister Beulah (Brad) Flint of Canajoharie; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Monk, Kelcie Monk and Morgan Monk; one great granddaughter, Kendra Fush and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Bernice Smith. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 26 Broadway, Fonda, NY with the Rev. Christopher Welch as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made in Cliff's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Please pay your condolences at www.brbsfuneral.com.
