Obituary Lexington - Clyde Louis Vinson, Sr., 89, originally from Jessamine County and the widower of Dorothy Hogue Vinson, died peacefully at his home in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 10, after an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1921 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky, son to the late J.C. and Edith Laswell Vinson. Clyde was a WWII Navy veteran and a retired signal maintainer on the Southern Railroad based out of Wilmore, Kentucky. He is survived by his six children, Clyde Louis Vinson, Jr., Edith Vinson, David (Christine) Vinson, Michael (Sandi) Vinson, Janet (James) Griffin, John (Wanda) Vinson; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six sisters, brothers-in-law and a multitude of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of 56 years and parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gladys Sutton Vinson and sister, Alice Cuemile Vinson Dunn. Funeral Information There are no services planned.
