Clyde H. Warner, of Eugene, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2013 after a brief sudden illness. He was 81. He is survived by the love of his life, Lillian Tew Warner of Eugene, son, David Warner of Portland, as well as his twin grandchildren, Paul and Samantha Warner, also of Portland. As the youngest of nine children, Clyde is also survived by his sister, Hildur Warner Bailey of Tualatin, OR. He is predeceased by his infant son, Robert Clyde and his daughter, Ann Warner Luke. Clyde lived a life of servitude. After graduating from the University of Oregon, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the First Christian Church all of his life. He served his community volunteering in the Salvation Army for over 40 years. And he served his family by being the most shining example a man can be. For most of his working life Clyde and his family lived in North Bend, OR where he worked for Equifax, formally Retail Credit Co. for 30 years. Later, Clyde and Lillian settled in Springfield, OR, where it had all began for them on their way to 62 years of marriage. Annual vacations to Cancun and elsewhere included family and friends for many years of happy memories. For the last several years Clyde and Lillian liked to spend winters at their little home-away-from-home in Yuma, AZ, enjoying a retirement life well earned. Golf was a favorite pastime for Clyde, especially when he could play with his grandson. He will be missed for his earnest good nature, his selflessness and his integrity. Clyde Warner’s life was a gift to us all. Well done, Clyde. Thank you for everything. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm @ Staffordshire Club House, 34621 Devonshire Drive in Eugene.
