Cody Burdick Cody was born May 25th, 2002 at 6:04pm just 29 minutes after his twin brother Brice. We celebrated the gift of two precious children. Cody was a happy, healthy, energetic child. At two years old Cody learned to move the icon’s on his fathers computer. Thus began his love of electronics! Cody attended Irving Elementary School and loved learning. At Shasta Middle School Cody began playing his father’s silver trumpet and enjoyed improving his skills while having fun with fellow band members and concerts. Cody played soccer, baseball, track and was acquiring a love for basketball. Cody previously attended Willamette High School and was currently attending Twin Rivers Charter School. At Twin Rivers High School Cody loved working in the kitchen during his culinary class. He loved the outdoor activities such as helping clear a trail on Skinner Butte and piling wood chips around trees. Cody loved his x-box and his gamer friends. Cody spent a lot of time with his family going on adventures. We liked to camp, go on cruises, visit Disneyworld, Walt Disneyworld, New York, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, Boise, Sunriver and the Oregon coast. We will always remember Cody as a child with a big heart and a lot of energy. We will miss you. Cody is survived by his father Fred Burdick, His mother Tami Knouf-Burdick and his twin brother Brice Burdick. His grandparents Fred and Jean Burdick. His uncles Mike Gorman (wife Denise), Scott Gorman, Craig Gorman (wife Kim), Bill Burdick and his great Uncle Tom Gunski. His Aunts Shari Settlemeyer (husband Rick), Terri Williams (husband Joe), Christine Norman (husband Brad). And his many cousins Chris, Mandi, Kim, Devina, Tim, Tony, Sadie Ann, Michaela, RJ, Aiden, Bella and Tanner, Cody was preceded in death by his sister Brittney Nicole Knouf and his grandmother Ann Sanders and his grandfather Wayne Sanders. A GoFund me page has been set up by Twin Rivers Charter School on behalf of Cody . The funds will be donated to CAHOOTS to help the people of our city with mental health issues and hopefully prevent the loss of another child such as Cody. There will be a funeral service for Cody on Friday, December 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the Musgrove Family Center, 225 S. Danebo Ave. in Eugene with burial to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary. Please access the obituary and you are invited to sign the guestbook at musgroves.com
