Colleen Gallagher

Colleen Gallagher, 75 of Wesley Chapel ended her courageous battle with cancer on July 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 55 years, Joe; her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kim Gallagher; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Peter Lent and Kathleen and Jim Brady. Also surviving are her grandchildren Caitlin Lent, Lindsey Lent, Brian Gallagher- U.S. Nav, Andrew Gallagher, Mary Brady and Joe Brady. Also surviving is her brother, Philip M. Scanlan and many friends too numerous to mention. Colleen was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida in 2003. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, a “Super Volunteer” at Moffitt Cancer Center, an avid quilter and was a person who always gave back to others, even while being a cancer survivor herself. She was a strong woman and everyone’s “Angel”. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19 from 6-8 pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, it would be her wish that donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center in Colleen's name. The family has entrusted care and services to Loyless Funeral Home.
