Colleen L. McDonald

Colleen Lynn McDonald passed away at home in the early hours of June 9, 2021 due to respiratory failure. She was born on April 10, 1945 in San Jose, CA to Velma ‘Tootie’ and Ivan Powell. A twin sister passed away a few hours after birth. . Colleen lived in the Salem area for over 50 years. Gordon and Colleen were married for 44 years at the time of her passing. In recent years, Colleen enjoyed jewelry making and taking trips in their 5th wheel travel trailer. Colleen had three children from a prior marriage, Sherie Lynn Magnellenes, Christina Day Ellsworth (deceased) and Richard ‘Ricky’ Wayne Cooper (deceased). She is survived by her husband, Gordon; her daughter, Sherie; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Colleen is also predeceased by one grandchild and by Pippin, her beloved Papillon dog, who was a great comfort and companion to her as her health declined The family wishes to thank Bristol Hospice for their kind and attentive care At Colleen’s wishes, no service is planned. Her ashes will be interred at a later date at Willamette National Cemetery.
