Colleen M Peterson

Mrs. Colleen Peterson, 58, of Tribes Hill went to be with her beloved dogs Herbie and Magie on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born Colleen Marie Chandler on December 31, 1962 to Mr. Earl Chandler and Mrs. Elizabeth Wendell Chandler of Greenfield, NY. She attended Corinth schools, graduating in 1980 and was most recently employed by Lexington ARC as Direct Support Staff. She was united in marriage to Mr. Charlie Peterson on June 10, 1989. Colleen had a big heart, and loved caring for others. She was a member of the VFW Post #942 Auxiliary. She enjoyed driving her jeep, spending time at the ocean aka “the big pool”, rooting for the Green Bay Packers and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and dogs. Colleen is survived by her husband Charlie Peterson of Tribes Hill, daughter Sarah Weaver of Tribes Hill, and son Brian Weaver, step children; Amanda and Charlie, sisters; Sharyl, Cindy, and Dianne, as well as her beloved grandchildren; Cayden, Olivia, Brianna, Brennan, Dylan, Connor, Jolee, and Jude. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Colleen’s family would like to thank the Tribes Hill Fire Department and all the emergency personnel for coming so quickly in Colleen’s time of need. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Tuesday, May 25th at 7:00PM at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home 15 Main St Fultonville, NY 12072. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, May 25th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM prior to the service. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 29th at 3:00PM at the VFW Post #942 2495 State Hwy 30A Fonda, NY 12068. All are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VFW Post #942 Auxiliary PO Box 116 Fonda, NY 12068.
