Concetta Fraumeni Hess, 79, of East Dodge Street, Mesa, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at her home in the loving company of her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 24, 1932 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Caldara Fraumeni, she was educated in Amsterdam Schools. In her earlier years, Concetta worked for Mohawk Carpets and was a clerk for the former JJ Newberry Store. She lived in this area until moving to Arizona in 1982 and worked for a Hallmark Card Store there for a short time. She loved creating ceramics and was a talented artist, mastering calligraphy and oil painting. Her family and friends will cherish her beautiful work. Concetta was of the Roman Catholic faith. On April 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to Wilson Scott Hess. In addition to her beloved husband of nearly sixty years, Concetta leaves her children; son Gary W. and his wife Valerie Hess of Los Angeles, Ca., and Mary Frances and her husband Harley Stroebel of Mesa, Az., a brother Thomas Fraumane of Johnstown, a sister Mary Jane Abert of Amsterdam; grandchildren, Duke Wayne Hall, Chisum Jake Hall, Brandon Scott Hess and Lisa Renee Marquez; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Samuel Fraumane and Donald Fraumeni, and sisters Nancy Mineconzo and Sophie Carozza. A graveside service will take place Monday at 11 am at the Hagaman Cemetery. Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating. Calling hours are private at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Montgomery Co. SPCA, PO Box 484 Amsterdam.
