     Connie Kay Flavell passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 67.

     She was born on June 4, 1956 in Canon City, Colorado and moved with her family to Fort Collins in 1963.  Connie graduated from Poudre High School in   1975.

     After attending Aims Community College for about a year, she obtained employment in the field of security services at Stapleton Airport in Denver and then subsequently with other businesses in the area.  She would continue in that field of work often throughout her life.

     After several years, Connie moved to the East Coast, at times adding waitressing to her work experience.  While working in security for the Johnson and Johnson corporation, that company began offering discounted overseas travel opportunities to their employees, so she took advantage and visited numerous countries – including Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Ireland, England, and Switzerland.  She enjoyed these trips immensely, and was often accompanied by members of her family.

     In 2007 she returned to live in Colorado with its mountain scenery, which she greatly preferred, and purchased a home next to her mother and sister.  She soon joined in attending worship services with them and found her place in the church family at Grace Fellowship, which is now ReImagine Life Ministries.  She began to serve in various volunteer roles on a regular basis, and in doing so endeared herself to many people of all ages and backgrounds with her sincere love and friendship.

     Unfortunately, in recent years she developed numerous health issues which increasingly hindered her activities, and eventually resulted in her recent passing. She is now at home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and her loving Heavenly Father. 

     Connie was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hawkins, and her sister, Lorna, and her sister’s spouse (Lloyd Simpson).  She is survived by her mother, Vanita Hawkins, her siblings, Katherine Ross (Stanley Ross), Floyd Hawkins, Gladys Masi (Frank Masi), Elaine Hawkins, Randy Hawkins (Lora Hawkins), and many nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
