Conrad Errol O'Brien, 90, of Boca Raton, passed away on October 21, 2015. He was born on October 6, 1925 to Errol and Elmire (de Gannes) O'Brien in Arima, Trinidad. He moved to the Tampa area in 2015 from Boca Raton after being there 28 years. He was appointed to the Under House (the Senate) for Trinidad and Tobago in 1966. He also served on the Police Commission and received the Humming Bird Medal Gold of Honor for Public Service to his country in 1974. He organized carnival bands and was an integral part of the committee that established the carnival queen contests. He was head of the committee that organized Pope John Paul II visit to Trinidad and Tobago in 1985. He was Jaycee Junior Chamber International (JCI) World President in 1964 visiting 55 countries during this period. Overall he visited more than 60 countries in his lifetime. In 1969 Trinidad and Tobago hosted the World Congress of the JC International that was attended by over 2,000 delegates from over 80 countries. He served on that committee as Chief Advisor. He was appointed chairman and Managing Director of Charles McEnearney and Company in 1975. In 1983, he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Charles McEnearney and Alstons Ltd group. He serviced on the board until 1987. When he moved to Florida, he returned to the group in 1992 as Chairman of ANSA McAL (US) Inc. and DCI Miami INC. until his final retirement in 2006. Conrad is survived by his loving spouse of 45 years Patricia, Son, Jason O'Brien and wife Toni; Daughter, Sharon Maingot and husband Gary; Grandchildren Garek, Sierra and Hannah Maingot, sister Patricia Kennedy.
