Curtis Wade Stafford, Sr.
January 19th, 1934 - January 11th, 2024
Mr. Curtis Wade Stafford, Sr., 89, of Kernersville passed away on January 11, 2024. A native of North Carolina, he was the son of the late Curtis and Ethel (Kiger) Stafford and husband of the late Mary (Collins) Stafford. Curtis served the community for over 25 years during his time as the owner and operator of Stafford Electric Company. In addition to serving his community, Curtis served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He would tell stories from his time in service. The most notable stories were reminiscing on time spent oversees time in both Japan and Korea. Curtis enjoyed spending time fishing with his friends over the years. Although most have passed on, a special thanks from the family to those that are still with us for all the years of companionship spent together. Curtis is survived by his son, Curtis Stafford, Jr.; his grandsons, Joshua Stafford and Zach Sink; his sisters, Linda Gray and Carol Diane Smith; his sister-in-law, Brenda Stafford; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Stafford; his brothers, Bud Stafford and Luke Stafford; his daughter-in-law, Donna Sink; and his close friend, Herman Walters. The family will receive friends at Belews Creek Christian Church, 8451 Belews Creek Rd, Belews Creek, NC 27009 on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 10:00AM -11:00AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM with Mr. Herbert Mabe officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Walkertown, Walkertown, North Carolina following the funeral services.
