Thomason Funeral Home
Cynthia D. Evans
July 20th, 1948 - March 31st, 2024
Cindy Evans, 75, of Weiser, Idaho passed away peacefully Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Cindy was born July 20, 1948 in Coalinga, California, the 3rd daughter to Jean (Wagener) and Carl Brooks.
She welcomed her first three children in the mid 60’s and by 1975 they moved to Caldwell, Idaho.
In 1982 she married the love of her life, Lynn Evans. With this blessed union came three more children, to whom she loved as her own. After settling in Meridian, they owned and operated a mechanic shop.
Cindy enjoyed a variety of careers; a bookkeeper for mining and construction supply companies, a cashier at the general store in Yellowpine, and local papers, Argus Observer & Record Reporter, to name a few. After settling in Weiser she worked alongside her husband as the office manager for their mechanic company, Lynn’s Mobile Service.
Her passions included traveling, history, old books, gardening, gatherings, antiques, and car racing. Many of the antiques she collected over the years adorned their home and told the story of love, family, travel, history, and time.
She enjoyed hosting barbecues and holiday festivities; Christmas was her favorite time of year. Her gifts were always thoughtful and tailored; she was the perfect gift giver!
She loved her family fiercely, had timeless wisdom and class; always composed and full of grace. She had open arms and an open heart, all who knew her…loved her! She leaves behind a legacy unmatched and will live on in our hearts and memories of days gone by.
She is survived by her siblings Dave (Patti) Brooks of Oregon and Traci (Kevin) Clay of California; children Gina Randall, Stephen White, Ron (Shelli) White, and Steven (Gae) Evans; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Jean Brooks, sisters Barbara and Norma, children Michael and Dean Evans and her husband, Lynn Evans.
Services are under the direction of Lienkaemper-Thomason Funeral Chapel and will be held Saturday, April 13th at 4 P.M with a banquet to follow.

We Entrusted Cynthia Evans's Care To
Thomason Funeral Home
For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
