Cynthia Gail Hoffmann

Cynthia "Cyndi" Gail Hoffmann, 61, of Volcano, CA, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, July 27, 2017. She was born in Wichita, KS on January 2, 1956 to the late Jean Mae (Weisse) and Albert Frederick Mietz. She married the love of her life Mark Hoffmann on August 27, 1978, in Pescadero, CA, and was the mother of 2 children, Laura and Erik. Her family was the light of her life, and spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite thing to do. She also had a passion for quilting, sewing, camping, reading, and thrift store shopping. Cyndi lived to help others; she was a nurse for 30 years, and worked at numerous hospitals throughout California, including Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara, Mendocino District Hospital in Fort Bragg, Ukiah Valley Medical in Ukiah, Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, Tahoe Forest in Truckee, and Sutter Amador in Jackson. She also dedicated some of her valuable help and time to Folsom Prison, in Folsom. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Sierra Baptist Church, 26355 Buckhorn Ridge Road, Pioneer, CA. Donations can be made in Cyndi's honor to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras or to the memorial fund at Sierra Baptist Church PO Box 719 Pioneer, CA.
