September 26th, 1925 - June 18th, 2015
Passed away peacefully on June 18, 2015, surrounded by family. Cy was born on September 26, 1925, in Jefferson, WI and was preceded in death by his parents, Meta (Kraehnke) and Joseph Schisel, and sister, Joyce (Pat) Fazzini. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Ruby May (Keeling) and loving children; Rodney (Maria) Schisel, Larry (Grace) Schisel, and Janice (Reed) Thurman. Cy was a cherished grandfather to Larry (Mary Beth) Schisel Jr., Jason (Lisa) Schisel, and Eric Thurman; an adoring great grandfather of Garrett Logan Cyril, and Sebastian Alexander "Alex" Schisel. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cy served in the United States Air Force from 1943 to 1946; he then worked for 40 years in the engine division of Allis-Chalmers before retirement. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post #2473, located in Clearwater, Florida.
