Daisy was born on May 13, 1929 in Fairfield, Idaho to Charles and Anna Graham the youngest of 6 children.  She started playing piano at an early age, and was the church accompanist at their local church.  Even though she was barely 5 ft tall, Daisy played ½ court basketball on the Women’s High School team.  After graduating high school she moved to Boise, and attended Boise Junior College (now Boise State), then on to the University of Idaho in Moscow. There she met her future husband, Bob Lind.  Both were very musical and met singing in a Madrigal group.  They married December 23, 1951, and started a family soon after with the births of Anna, Cecelia, and Beverly.  In 1956 they moved the family from Idaho to Toledo, Oregon, and from there to Springfield, Oregon in 1963, where they have lived the rest of their lives.  Daisy was a piano teacher and had up to 40 students at a time, into her 80’s.  Teaching from home meant she was available when the kids arrived from school, usually welcomed by something delicious in the oven. She was a long-time member of Springfield Faith Center, always greeting people with a smile, and a prayer.

Daisy passed away on June 3, 2024, at age 95 surrounded by family.

Survived by husband, Bob, daughters, Anna Lind, Cecelia Purscelley (Bob) and Beverly Lenhart (Stan, deceased) 4 grandsons, Nathan (Jennifer), Andy (Sara), Matthew (Jennifer), Jamie (Sarah), 14 great grandchildren. And many “adopted” kids and grandkids.

Service will be held Saturday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Faith Center. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Springfield Faith Center Missions, or Springfield Community Concert Band for student scholarships.
