Richard Delmas (Dale) Fuller, born September 23, 1931, took his last ascent soaring to Heaven on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 8:13 pm, with his family around his bed side singing “Beulah Land”. Dale is now healed and in the presence of his Lord and Savior. Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held Monday June 15, 2015 at Faith Church with Rev. Allen Byerly officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. Although Dale had many accomplishments, the love of his life, his ‘sweetheart’, is his surviving spouse of 63 years, Joan Fuller of the home. Dale and his beloved Joan are charter members of Faith Church. Dale was in the US Army during the Korean War and worked for Roadway Trucking Company 34 years driving 3,750,000 miles supporting family. Ever the Sportsman, Dale taught his children to hunt and fish with his claim to fame being the striped bass (37 pounds, 47 inches long) he had proudly displayed in the den. His lifelong passion was to fly. Dale began building model airplanes at an early age. After retirement he joined the High Point RC “Radio Control” Club and proudly displayed memories in his room. Dale is enjoying the company of his mother, father, brother, nephew and grandson Daniel James Ladd, who went to heaven before him. Dale and Joan love family. Many times at supper time, Dale would state that your best friends are around this table. Dale was able to hear the heartbeat of his second great-grandchild, who is expected in the fall, two weeks ago which resulted in such laughter and enjoyment. Survivors include Dale and Joan’s four children and their families are daughter Lynn Fuller Ladd, her husband Thomas James (Tommy) Ladd, grandson Timothy Dale Ladd and great-grandson Maddax James Ladd; son David Lee Fuller and his wife Deborah Carlyle Fuller, granddaughter Danielle Fuller Irwin and her husband Charles Edwin (Eddie) Irwin II and soon to arrive great-grandson Charles (Charlie) Edwin III, and granddaughter Anna Leigh Fuller; daughter Ann Fuller Rothrock, her husband Robert Craig Rothrock and granddaughter Amanda JoAnn Rothrock; son John Richard Fuller and his wife Krista Crews Fuller and grandson Jordan Ray Fuller.
