Dale Grim of Sumner, WA passed away peacefully on July 27th 2024
Dale was born in Velva, ND, in 1940 he moved to Bellingham, WA with his family. He was proud to serve in the Army during the Korean War. Dale graduated from Western Washington University in 1957 with his degree in teaching. While in college he met his wife Audrey, they married in 1955. They were married 68 years.
Dale worked for the Highline School District working at four schools for 38 years, the first being White Center Elementary. He taught art, history and coached football at Glendale Jr High, Puget Sound Jr High and Evergreen High School during his career. He was beloved teacher by his students and kept in touch with several students for many years.
After retiring Dale loved to travel, Arizona being his favorite for the desert and warm weather. Art was always his passion, he never stopped making pottery or many other art projects.
Dale is survived by his wife, Audrey, daughter, Karri (Tracie), son, Kevin (Darcy), grandchildren Reed, Samantha, Jamie, Miranda, step grandchildren Joe, Nicole and Chris and 8 great grandchildren.
Internment at Tahoma National Cemetery, September 6, 2024 1:30pm
