Dale E, King, 69 died of natural causes in his home on Sunday, September 12, 2010. He was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. Dale is remembered by his wife of 47 years Connie M. King of Caldwell, They were married in Chula Vista California on June 22nd, 1963. His children Allen King, Donald King, and Denice King all of Caldwell. Donald's wife Brenda King and their two daughters Allene and Carisa. A brother Denis King of Wilder, Idaho. Brother Duane King of Proberta California, Margaret King of Cottonwood California. Plus many nieces and nephews and friends who loved him. Proceeding Dale in death are his parents Leota and Hersel King, grandmother Edith King and brother Jerry King. Dale was born in Caldwell on April 22, 1941, and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1960. From high school he moved to California and promptly joined the Navy in 1961 where he served for 4 years. He was the airplane technician for VP46 on engine #3 on a P-10 Orion Ghost Hunter aircraft, a anti submarine plane. It was during this time he met his future wife Connie. After discharging from the Navy, Dale and Connie returned to Caldwell to raise their family. He then worked for McClusky Meats, Blacker's Furniture and then became a mechanic for Garber Motors in Caldwell which eventually became Happy Day Ford. He also worked for short time at Dan Wiebold Ford and Dick Donnelly Lincoln Mercury in Boise. Dale's specialty was Ford transmissions and loved sharing his knowledge of fixing cars with everyone he came in contact with. Dale loved the outdoors and every year for 3 weeks took his family on great camping/fishing trips in to Idaho's beautiful wilderness. And in later years with his loving wife, sharing with her his great love of fishing. Dale is loved and remembered forever as the kind an gentle man he was. His thoughts were always of the love and concern for his wife and his family's well being. To have a close-knit family was the most important thing in his life. There will be a viewing held for Dale from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, September 16th at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. A graveside inurnment will follow the next day at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Friday, September 17th at 2 P.M., condolences can be sent to the family at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com. Service Information
