DALE W. PARKHURST (Parky) age 81 of Lake Mills passed away Thursday May 13, 2010 at Willowbrook Nursing Home in Lake Mills. Son of the late Carl and Dorothy Parkhurst (Best) he was born on April 3, 1929 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. He married Ruth L. Jamieson on October 6, 1951 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Dale served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He was employed at the New Berlin Redi Mix for many years, retiring in 1989. Dale enjoyed fishing, and restoring old cars. He and his family loved to travel in their motor home, and enjoyed camping. He is survived by his wife Ruth of Lake Mills. Daughter; Carol (Richard) Jones of Jefferson Daughter-in-law; Kathryn (Robert) Parkhurst-Schulz of Pewaukee Sister;Doris Bacot of Ankeny IA 6 grandchildren; Brandon Morris & Jessica Fairman, Sarah (Marshall) Shelstrom, Joshua (Sherry) Jones, Amy Nixon, Andrew Parkhurst, Adam Parkhurst, 5 great-grandchildren; Hailey Shelstrom, Aubrey Jones, Avery Nixon, Jacob Komp, Christopher Voss He is preceded in death by his parents, son David A. Parkhurst, brother Earl Parkhurst Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2010 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Nancy Carmichael officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on May 21, from 2:00p.m. -5:00 p.m. The family wishes memorials to be directed to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice in memory of Dale.
