Dallas "Dusty" Rhodes
March 9th, 1938 - April 20th, 2018
Dusty was born in Wallowa, Oregon to Ira Rhodes and Lois Silver. He graduated from Wallowa High School in 1955 with several commendations. He joined the Army the same year and was stationed in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. While in the Army, Dusty received several letters of appreciation for outstanding service. He married Alice Eger, of New Jersey on October 25, 1958. Alice passed away November 15, 1989, in Boulder, CO. Dusty lived and worked in Boulder for over 40 years and owned Electrician’s Inc., until he retired March 2003. Dusty couldn’t sit still, so he took a part-time job at Walmart, where met Lorna. He married Lorna Eddy of Longmont on June 6, 2009. He is survived by his wife; son William "Bill” and his wife Michelle of Longmont; son Brian of Strasburg; daughter Sheryl of Loveland; granddaughter Rachel Rhodes of Longmont; granddaughter Jennifer Watson and her husband Nolan of Georgia; granddaughter Zo’i "Bii” Szekely of Las Vegas and grandson Harley Poe of Loveland. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Place Church, 375 Meadowlark Dr., Berthoud, CO 80513. Donations can be made to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
