Dalvir Singh Bains

In loving memory of our beloved father, Dalvir Singh Bains, who passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 63, surrounded by his family. He was born in Shadipur, Punjab, India, on September 29, 1960. 

He immigrated to Yuba City, CA, in 1967, with his mother, and two sisters, to reunite with his father, and older brother. He attended Barry Elementary School, and then graduated from Yuba City High School in 1979. He was a passionate farmer, and also worked at Spreckels Sugar Company and Sunsweet Growers Inc. 

He was the most selfless, genuine, and caring person one could have met. Dalvir dedicated his life to ensuring his family was well taken care of, and expressed his unconditional love in every way imaginable. He led our family with strength and generosity, and always carried himself with a warm smile and a tender heart. He was never in a hurry and truly enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time socializing with family and friends, farming, barbequing with his sons, and watching John Wayne movies.

He is survived by his wife, Tejinder Kaur Bains; his son, Robin Singh Bains and daughter-in-law, Sareena Kaur Bains; his son, Romy Singh Bains and daughter-in-law, Rubeena Kaur Bains; his older brother, Avtar Singh Bains (Rupinder); his older sister, Tirath Kaur Khatkar (Baldev); and his younger sister, Kulvinder Kaur Aulakh (Harinderpal). 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nirmal Singh Bains and Mohinder Kaur Bains. 

We would like to express our gratitude to all family, friends, and members of the community, who have provided immense support, love, and cherished memories to help heal during this difficult time. We find comfort in knowing that he is resting peacefully. 

Services will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 11 AM, followed by prayers at Sikh Temple Bogue Road in Yuba City, CA.
