Daniel "Dan" Bodnar, 50, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Friday, August 31, 2007 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1957 from his native Pittsburgh, PA and was a 1976 graduate of Gibbs High School. He was a Fleet Manager at Silvers Systems, Inc. for 23 years and was a Big Brother/Big Sister volunteer. He enjoyed Stock Car racing and was the owner/mechanic of the #30 Open Wheel Modified race car. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his parents, Charles, Jr. and Florence Bodnar of Homosassa, FL; one brother, Charles, III of Altoona, PA; two sisters, Wadine "Dee" Shawen of Seminole, FL, Evette Appleby of Longwood, FL; nieces, Christine, Nikki, Ashley; nephews, Jason and Nathan; grandnieces and nephews, and was a loyal friend to many.
