Daniel J. Danny Martone

Daniel J. Danny Martone, 58, of Florida Avenue, Amsterdam, Passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam, after a long illness, with his wife and mother by his side. Born in Albany, NY, August 23, 1949 to Marie H. Faas Martone. Dan was a graduate of St. Patrick?s School in Albany and a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady. He also attended Hudson Valley Community College. He worked for Marsh Hallman Chevrolet in Albany and for the past 28 years he proudly worked for the Albany Field Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Diane R. Martuscello. They resided in Amsterdam, NY. Also survived by his two brothers, Gary Susan of Snyder?s Lake and Peter of Schenectady, uncle to Nicole Manfred of Snyder?s Lake, Christopher Martone of Big Bear Lake, CA and Amanda Dennis Jordan of Zephyrhills, FL; brother-in-law to Steven Martuscello, mother-in-law Ruth Martuscello, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his good friends Paul & Stacy and their children, co-workers at the bureau and friends at Hotaling Florist in Amsterdam. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at St. Mary?s Hospital on Maria Hall 4th floor, NY Oncology & Hematology, PC in Amsterdam, SR. Dolores, Dr. Pizzaro, his wife Linda and their staff, Dr. Robert Goslin, Dr. Karen Tedesco, and Dr. Nancy Knudsen for their care and compassion in caring for Dan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 10:15 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:15 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable, however, those desiring may make memorial contributions in Dan?s memory, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 966, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to Stacy Priamo?s medical expenses, C/O the funeral home.
