Daniel Gonzales

Daniel Gonzales, 43, of DeGraff St., Amsterdam, died suddenly Sunday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on June 18, 1961 a son of Hector Gonzales and Milagro Santiago. He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a 1979 Graduate of Amsterdam High School. Mr. Gonzales served in the U.S. Army in the 1980?s. He later was employed at Sunnyview Hospital in Schenectady, SOFCO Co. and Unlimited Distribution Co. in Scotia, NY. He was of the Christian Faith. He is survived by his- Father: Hector Gonzales and his wife Joan Gonzales of Fonda, NY Mother: Milagro Santiago and her husband Luis Santiago of Amsterdam Three Dear Children- Daniel M. Gonzales and his Fiance Heather Vertucci of Amsterdam. Joseph A. Gonzales of Amsterdam and Nina M. Gonzales of Amsterdam. The Mother of his Children- Mary A. Del Santo of Amsterdam. Brothers- Rene Robles of Puerto Rico, Hector Gonzales of Ballston Spa, NY Jose Gonzales of Johnstown, NY, Elmer L. Santiago of Amsterdam, Ariel Santiago of Amsterdam and Samuel L. Santiago of North Carolina. Sisters- Nilda Giraldi of Amsterdam, Medalyn Gonzales of Amsterdam, Rosemary Negron of Amsterdam, Louisa Gonzales of Amsterdam, Neida Santiago of Amsterdam and Delia Sitterly of North Carolina. Several Aunts and Uncles, 34 Nieces and Nephews, 11 Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Cousins and many friends also survive. He was Pre-deceased by his brother Ruben J. Robles on October 25th of this year. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00A.M. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, Main St. Amsterdam with the Rev. Luis Sylvia Presiding. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-8P.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
