Daniel Edward Gutierrez
January 19th, 1943 - December 1st, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Edward Gutierrez announce his passing. Daniel was born on January 19, 1943 in Trinidad, Colorado to Rose and Max Gutierrez. He entered into eternal rest on December 1, 2019 in Wheatridge, Colorado from complications of pneumonia after a battle with throat cancer. Daniel attended and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in May, 1961. He married Eileen Caroline Cordova on May 22, 1965 in Denver, Colorado. He enjoyed a career of 42 years as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and retired in 2010. He is survived by Eileen, his wife of 54 years and his children, Daniel Edward Gutierrez Jr, Wendy Boyd, and Veronica Gutierrez, and his grandchildren Nicolas, Connor, and Lillian. Daniel is lovingly remembered by his brothers Gil, Abe, Richard, Ralphie, his sisters Pat and Toni Mae, and many nieces and nephews. Daniel’s generosity of spirit and affable nature brought him dozens of friends who will miss him dearly and his absence is felt by many. A memorial service will be held for Daniel on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at: Westside Church of Christ 13789 W. 8Th Ave Golden, Colorado 80401
