Dan Harris, 76, passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2024. Born on November 3rd, 1947 to Herbert and Beth Harris, Dan was a true engineer at heart. He graduated from Washington State University in 1970 with a degree in Electronic Engineering and dedicated 36 years of his life to Fluke Manufacturing making test equipment to ensure the safety of their products.
At home, he continued his love of creating through engineering cars, motorcycles, rebuilding tools, making several pieces of furniture and wood carvings that found homes in the houses of family and friends. In addition to his hobbies, he built a home for his family, milling the lumber from a sawmill he constructed. To all that knew him, Dan was an encyclopedia of carpentry, mechanics, woodworking and gardening. He was the first to help a friend mill the lumber, repair electrical issues, plant gardens, reweld signs or fix their cars.
His legacy of knowledge will live on in his absence through the years spent helping those who needed it. Dan is survived by his dedicated wife, Kay, his daughters Stacy Stuart (Cary) and Jody Conley (David), grandchildren Megan Watson (Sam), Katie Stuart, Shae Copeland and his sister Robi.
