none Daniel James McCartney, 25, Chehalis, died at home Saturday, August 27, 2005. He was born February 19, 1980 in McMinnville, Oregon to Randy and Jan (Grosenbach) McCartney. As a child, he lived in Oregon, Japan, Alaska, and Florida, and the family then settled in Chehalis, Washington in 1993. Dan graduated in 1998 from W.F. West High School, Chehalis, Washington. He then went to Renton Technical College where he was enrolled in the Ford ASSET Automotive program. He graduated in 2000 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. He loved working on his truck and many times did repair on our family cars. He liked to hunt and enjoyed the outdoors. He was employed at various places through the years: Uhlmann Motors, Mufflerman, Leduc's Chevron, all in Chehalis-Centralia area; Clutch Doctors of Clackamas, Oregon. He is survived by his parents, Randy and Jan McCartney, Chehalis, Washington; his brother and sister-in-law Sgt. Brian and Malissa McCartney, and nephews Gabriel and Andrew McCartney of Twentynine Palms, California; grandmother, Ruth E. Grosenbach of Oregon City, Oregon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins including: Carol and Dave Lucas; Aaron Lucas; Justin, Shawna, and Chloe Lucas; Debbie and David Klusmann all of Oregon City, Oregon; Jay and Sharon Grosenbach, Rachel Grosenbach, and Matthew Grosenbach all of Grants Pass, Oregon; Joshua Grosenbach of Newberg, Oregon. Teresa and Henry Groepper of Oregon City, Oregon; Sandy McCartney, Karen Hanson, Cheryl Wittrock all of Portland, Oregon.
