Daniel H. Miranda Sr. Salinas, California passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 in El Centro, CA. He was born on June 22, 1961 in Bakersfield, CA to Abraham O. and Mary Ellen H. Miranda. Dan's career expanded to many areas. He owned and operated Handy Man Dan and Dan's House of Kustom's Auto and Body Shop in Salinas, CA. He also worked for Salinas Union High School Maintenance Dept., National Refactories, Moss Landing, CA, Eugene and Steve Dahm in Brawley, CA. and most Recent for Premier Towing in El Centro, CA. He was co-founder, member and President of the Nosotros Car Club in Salinas, CA. Dan is survived by his son Daniel Miranda Jr. of Salinas, CA,, Spouse Elizabeth A Miranda, Salinas,; Mother Mary Ellen H. Miranda, Fabens, TX: Sisters Sylvia (Socorro) Contreras, Fort Worth TX., Christina (Jesus) Jaime, Shafter, CA, Leticia (Trinidad) Jaime, Shafter, CA; Brothers Manuel Miranda, Delano, CA, David Miranda, Fabens, TX. Along with numerous nieces and nephews, Aunts, uncles, cousins, and other Family and Friends. He was recently preceded in death by his father Abraham O. Miranda. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow services at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907. A Memorial Fund has been set up at Rabobank under Daniel Miranda acct: 268833257

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
