Daniel Anthony Quintana, Jr.

September 19th, 1949 - March 15th, 2024

On March 15th, 2024 Daniel A Quintana passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Delhart Texas to Daniel E Quintana and Esther Griego. He grew up in Texas and came to Colorado in 1980. Within the first year he met his lovely wife Vicky which started the dance of their life. They were married on July 25th of 1981 at their home surrounded by all their family and friends. He was a father to Gabe and Jose. He worked at a meat plant, then Johnsons corner for many years, and finally built his business as Dan the scrap man. He enjoyed fishing, going to Blackhawk, bbqs, playing cards and dominoes, and of course bumming around. He would always welcome anyone into his home to eat or stay. Dan had a big heart and would help anyone who needed it. Many people knew Dan from his dedication to the Johnsons corner Chapel. He did his best to serve the lord. Dan is proceeded in death by his son Jose, his sister and numerous family members including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dan is survived by his wife Vicky of 43 years(Loveland), sisters – Cecilia (Enrique) of Mexico city, Carolyn of New Mexico,  Sandy of Wyoming, Louise (Steve) of Vermont, Brothers – Julio (Debbie) , Glen (Connie) of Fort Morgan, Dad Daniel (Angie) of Johnstown, son Gabe of sterling, Grandchildren – Xavier (Kendra), Jeremiah, Dezarey, and Gabriel of Wyoming, Great grandchildren Ezekeel, Andres, Gracelynn, and Milo. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. We want to thank Accent Care for taking such good care of him during his time on hospice. Within his final days he expressed how much he loved everyone, and how much he knew we all loves him. Dan is very special to everyone that was blessed with his presence and he would want us all to remember the fun, loving, goofy man he is. We hope everyone finds peace in knowing he is with his lord now, healed, happy, healthy, and watching over us all.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 6th at 11am at Viegut Funeral Home located at 1616 N. Lincoln ave Loveland co 80538. The reception will follow afterwards.

Dear Quintana family, My deepest condolences to your family and friends during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort in the reassuring words at Psalm 94:19 "When anxiety overwhelmed me, you comforted and soothed me." Our prayers and kind thoughts are with your friends and family as an extension of God's love, especially during trials. The scriptures have brought us comfort when experiencing loss and has given us hope through God's plan for those who've passed from our lives. Dear Quintana family. Our deepest condolences to your family and friends. May you find peace and comfort from God during this hardest time of loss in your lives. Dan was a dear friend and neighbor whom will be missed dearly and there will always be a void in our life without him being in it. I will always be ever grateful for the way he loved and accepted my brother unconditionally, whom he loved Dan dearly. He may begone but never forgotten.

Cecilia Quintana

Danny was my brother, he was my father my friend and my protector. Him and I grew up without a mom and dad to watch over us. We learned at a young age to take care of ourselves. Danny and I have never had a fight we only had love for each other. My children learned to love him because I live so far away they were older when they got to be around him. But once they got to be together he never let them go. He was the best uncle ever. Now he is in my heart and I can talk to him everyday . I will miss you brother but one day we will be together again. Thank you for all your love your sister Cecilia
