Daniel J. Szala

Daniel J. Szala, 21, of Midline Rd., passed away unexpectedly Monday April 13, 2015 in the Town of Amsterdam. Born in Niskayuna, NY on November 29, 1993, a son of Michael C. and Kathy Bucciferro Szala. He was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School Class of 2012. Daniel was employed by Target and worked in the warehouse at the Target Distribution Center in the Town of Florida, NY. He enjoyed working out at the gym, listening to music, motorsports that include racing, gaming , competing in gaming tournaments and riding on his motorcycle. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Daniel is survived by his parents, Michael and Kathy Szala of Amsterdam, NY. His sister, Nicole (Kevin) Niemir of Tribes Hill, NY. Aunts and Uncles, Michael and Felicia Bucciferro of Amsterdam and Jim and Terri Szala of Herkimer, NY. Grandfather, Frank Bucciferro, of Amsterdam. Cousins, Michael Bucciferro, Jackie Smith, Shannon Ramsey, Andrew Szala, Allen Szala. He also leaves behind his pet cat "Trigger". Funeral services will be held on Friday April 17, 2015 at 8:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 39 St. John St., Amsterdam, with Father Pascal "Pat" Iannotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday April 16, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
