Danny Dillon, 66, went to be with Jesus October 13, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 12:00PM Noon Wednesday October 17, 2018 at First Christian Church with Pastor Dr. Pete Kunkle and Pastor Tim Snow officiating . Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will visit with friends beginning at 10:30AM Wednesday until time for the service. A native of Forsyth County, Danny was the son of the late Grover Ernest Dillon and Barbara Maxey Dillon who survives. In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his sisters Kathy Greene and Rita Woodard, and brother David Dillon. He was a 1970 graduate of Northwest Guilford High School and worked for First Christian Church in the maintenance department for the past twelve years. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Darlene Shaver Dillon of the home; daughter Nicole Pilkenton and Chris of Winston-Salem; son Steven Dillon and Ashley of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Carly Dillon, Mason Doss, Gage Dillon, Connor Pilkenton, and Tyler Pilkenton; sister Karen Matherly and Mike of Madison; brother Todd Dillon of Walkertown; father-in-law Glyde Shaver of Colfax; and a host of extended family and friends.
