LAKE ALFRED - Danny Ray Monroe Sr., age 64, passed away in Winter Haven, Florida on March 6, 2018. He was born on August 18, 1953 to Charley and Joyce Monroe in Plant City, FL. Danny was a 23 year resident of Lake Alfred and also served for 17 years with the Lake Alfred Police Department. He was a member of the Lion's Club, loved hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by: his Father and Brother: Richard. Danny is survived by: his wife of 37 years: Denise Monroe, Sons: Danny R. Monroe Jr. of Auburndale, Jamie (Amanda) Monroe of Lakeland, Joseph (Beth) Monroe of Auburndale, Christopher (Mallory) Monroe of Auburndale, Jonathan (Ashley) Monroe of Lake Alfred, Mother: Joyce Monroe Brown, Sister: Sharon Dixon of Plant City, Brothers: James D. (Denise) Monroe of Plant City, Randy (Pam) Monroe of Gaston, SC. Eleven Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild.
