I was new to deer / turkey camp but Danny made me feel welcome. You were easy to know and spoke highly of your boys. I was looking forward to the upcoming season and spending great evenings around the fire. You will be missed! From the Chamberlain family God speed.

Tell Dad, grandpa and the others I love them uncle Dan. I'll always treasure our conversation we just had on Valentine's day. You said you couldn't wait to hug dad again and you guessed you would get that chance when the time was right. Well it was the right time. Rip uncle Dan love and miss you lots.

You were a great man Danny and will be missed by so many. All the boys of Lake Alfred who are now men looked up to you and you were an exceptional role model for them. My girls loved you and you were a great Papa to our shared grandchildren and even to mine that we don't share. You will for sure leave a big hole in lots of hearts and will be missed by everyone that knew you. Rest Easy, Danny.

I worked with you for quite a few years my friend and I came to enjoy your sense of humor and love of music. I remember sitting at my desk doing something where I would hear someone enter into the station and suddenly I would hear a voice erupting into a song and hear "Wild Thing" ......."You Make My Heart Sing" and I just knew who it was! Danny just had that song stuck in his head again. Danny was a Very Good Officer and Was Always True To His Word. I will Miss You Brother and Look Forward To Seeing You Agian One Day. Jerry

I loved working with Danny; he was a genuinely nice person, he was calm and collected (well, except maybe the time the car was stolen) and he was always fair. I remember asking him one night if I was allowed to watch a horror movie at work and he answered, "I don't care what you watch as long as you answer me on the radio when I call." and that, to me, is who Danny was - the guy that knew that we had a job to do and we needed to get it done and go home... because there was nothing more important to Danny than what was waiting at home for him, his family.

I believe the one thing I remember most about Danny was his absolute ability to walk up to just about anyone and instantly be their friend. The guy wore his heart on his sleeve and would go out of his way not to have to arrest you if you gave him a choice and woudl give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help. Sometimes I had to get on hm about being "too nice" to some of them only because I knew that behind his back they would go right back to whatever they were doing. His smile and calm demeanor was at least partially responsible for why he was such a good officer. If you ever met him, you never forgot him! We were supposed to have breakfast and coffee with each other soon but, as it always does, life got in the way. Sad to see you go compadre; probably won't be long before we greet each other once again.Denise, Jonathan, Christoper and family, you have lost a true father and husband and I will be praying for you all.
