Dante K. Person

Mr. Dante K. Person passed away on September 7, 2021. Dante was born to Brian and Kirsten Person on November 16, 2004. Dante Person was an avid student who loved math and chemistry and was on track to pursue a degree in astrophysics with a 4.4 GPA. He attended Blythewood High School, where he was on the honor roll and in the honor society. In addition, he was a helpful person who volunteered at homeless shelters in his free time. Dante loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed family game night. Dante loved being the best big brother he could be, always ready to teach and play. Dante also loved playing video games, writing poetry, writing short stories, and playing the flute in his middle school band. Dante will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and classmates. Dante is survived by his mother, Kirsten Person; his father, Brian Person; his brother, Corbin Person; his cousins, Seyon Clea, Jakhi Clea, and Brayden Clea; his aunts, Tasha Jones (“TT”) and Shauntai Person Clea (Terance); his grandparents, Carolyn Jones (“GiGi”), Nancy Person (“Nana”), and Joe Person (“Papa”); and a multitude of cousins, great aunts and uncles, and friends. A memorial service will be held for Dante at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Thompson Funeral Home Greenlawn Chapel. The family will receive guests one hour before the service. Due to Covid concerns, the family requests that everyone who can view the service via TribuCast please do so rather than attending in person. Out of respect for the family, masks (complete coverings) are required for those in attendance, and there will be no exceptions. A takeout repass of light refreshments will be held after the services. No flowers will be necessary. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the Person family.
