Darita M. Quintana, 81, died 09/11/2022 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was born 11/16/1940 in Alamosa, Colorado. She married George Quintana 11/17/1961 in Grand Jct. Colorado. They were married for 36 years. Soon after they moved to Idaho and have been here ever since. She worked as a CNA for 20 years at Caldwell Care Center earning her years of service. And 10 years in various other Care Centers. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and other crafty hobbies and spending time with her granddaughter Danielle. She loved dogs, her latest being Frosty (who can’t seem to figure out why she hasn’t come home yet). A viewing will be held Thursday 09/22/2022 from 5-8 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley on 09/23/2022 10 am. Burial will be at the Canyon Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents Eulalia Santistevan and Esquiel Martinez, her husband George Quintana and son Daniel Quintana. Survivors include son George E. Quintana, Holly Olvera, Viola Quintana all from Caldwell, Idaho. Sandra Archuleta, California, Cindy Russell, Kent Washington, RoseMary Quintana, Nampa, Idaho, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, various nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Treasure Valley Hospice for their devoted care and service to Darita in her final days. She will be truly missed.
