CHAPMAN (Chavis), Darlene, 74, of Tampa, passed away peacefully, October 5, 2013. She touched so many with her gift of giving and kindness. In her earlier years Darlene was known for her active participation in bowling in the bay area. She worked at Thatcher Glass, Florida Lanes and USF. She was known as a "dedicated" sideline cheerleader for all sporting activities she attended for the family. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother and especially loving grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Dan of 38 years; son, Robbie (Cindy); daughters, Donna, Lisa (Phil) Lopez; five grandchildren, Cliff (Shadarra), John Michael, Ryan, Amanda (Charlie), Philip Michael; four great grandchildren, Lexi, Caden, Landen and Sofia; brothers, Bob and Dallas; many loving friends. She was loved and will live on in our hearts forever. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, at Florida Mortuary. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
