AUBURNDALE - David Goodrich Ackley, age 85, passed away at his home in Auburndale on March 6, 2018. He was born on September 12, 1932 to Maynard & Elizabeth Ackley in Orlando, Florida. David was an Auburndale resident for 64 years. He is a Veteran of the Navy Reserves and worked for Lockheed Martin for 20 years. David was a Ham Radio operator for many years and also enjoyed flying his planes. He is preceded in death by: his Parents and half-brother. David is survived by; Daughters: Leah Pippin of Lithia, FL, and Elizabeth (Don) Hearn of Lake Como, FL, Son: Charles (Brittney) Ackley of Jacksonville, FL, Brother: John Ackley of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Four Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in David's name. https://www.cancer.org/
