David Lyman Adams

 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of David Lyman Adams, who departed this life on June 15, 2024, in West Brookfield, MA. Born on January 16, 1942, in Boston, MA, David lived a life marked by dedication, service, and passion. David proudly served his country in the United States Army as an SP4 until 1963. His love and commitment to service extended into his career, where he retired as a train engineer with the Mass Central Railroad. His colleagues remember him as a hardworking and reliable individual, always ready to lend a helping hand. David's love for trains followed him into his personal life, where he maintained a collection of train models that filled his home with the spirit of his lifelong passion. Outside of his love for trains, David found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found fishing by a quiet lake or enjoying a lively game of bingo. As we gather to remember David, we reflect on the joy and warmth he brought into our lives. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Beers & Story Funeral Palmer Funeral Home on June 25, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A burial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, where David will be laid to rest with the honor he so deeply deserves. David Lyman Adams will be dearly missed, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
