David Joseph Baca August 12, 1986 – December 4, 2020 David Baca, 34 passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2020 in Albuquerque, N.M. David was born on August 12, 1986 in Albuquerque, NM to the home of Florencio C. Baca and Anna Maria Lorenz. David was raised in Albuquerque, N.M., where he attended public schools until his Junior year, where he then moved to Anton Chico, N.M. and graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 2004. David started working for the New Mexico Department of Transportation in 2006, he worked for the NMDOT for over 14 years. He started with the Chip Seal Crew and was recently the Highway Maintenance Worker-Operational/Office Manager in the Santa Rosa Department. He was a member of Calvary Chapel. David was the perfect gentleman, who enjoyed roping, branding, riding his tractor and welding. He worked on many welding projects throughout the area and took pride in his work. No job was ever too big or too small for David, whether it was a fence, corral, or carport he always took his welding serious. He had a love for his horses, one especially named Tanya. However, he most enjoyed hanging out and helping family & friends. David was a hard worker and was very dedicated to his job, family & friends, he was always willing to lend a hand where ever needed. David was in no hurry, you would often catch him saying "oh, no hurry, no hurry." David is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Florencio Baca, great uncles Roberto (Blackie) Baca, Cipriano Baca, Jose Baca, Delfino (Nino) Baca, and special great aunt Anne Baca. Maternal grandparents, Emilio & Genoveva Olguin, Uncles, Flavio Olguin, Cecilio Olguin & Albert Olguin, Aunt Agneda/Alfredo Lucero, Benerito Lucero, a very special cousin Sylvia Lucero and several other cousins. David is survived by his father Florencio C. Baca (Veronica), step sister Megan of Anton Chico, NM, his mother Anna Maria Lorenz (Kevin) step brother Aaron of Albuquerque, NM, paternal grandmother whom he lived with, Mary Baca of Anton Chico, NM, Aunts, Karla Bornfield (Steve) Albuquerque, N.M , Josie Cruz (Erminio) Wagon Mound, NM, Claudia Olguin, Tecolotito, NM, Beatrice Encinias, Albuquerque, NM, Uncles, Henry Olguin, Amarillo TX, Patricio Olguin, Albuquerque, NM, Great Uncles, George (Mary) Baca, Las Vegas, NM, Thomas (Cleo) Baca, Las Vegas NM, Manuel (Inez) Baca, Gallinas, NM. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends whom loved him very much. Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Honorary Urn Bearers are: Robert J.
