April 29th, 1948 - January 26th, 2024
David Charles Benson, 75, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. David was born on April 29, 1948, in Edgerton, WI. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1966. He served his country in the United States Marines as a photographer in the Vietnam War. David worked as a machinist for Gilman Engineering in Janesville, WI. He enjoyed following the Packers, fishing and hunting. Photography was a lifelong hobby for him. He is survived by his brother Richard (Ellen) Gilbertson, Edgerton; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Burial with military rites will take place at East Koshkonong Cemetery at a later date.
