David Black, 75, of Arvada Colorado passed away on November 19, 2023. Dave was born on October 5, 1948 to Roena and Howard Black in Omaha, Nebraska. The family moved to Denver in 1950 when Dave was almost 2 and his younger brother Steve was a newborn. They welcomed a sister to the family several years later and spent the next 15 years in the Washington Park area of Denver. Dave joined the Army at age 18 and was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas for 2 years. Dave returned to Denver to help his father in his electronics repair business for several years before working for Western Electric in Westminster, Colorado. He attended college during this time and received an associate’s degree in electronics. Dave had many friends throughout his life from his days growing up, from his Army days, and from work. He chose to make his home in Arvada, Colorado. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time in the Colorado mountains and in Saratoga, Wyoming where he had a second home. He also enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, taking several cross-country trips on his bike. Dave was always helping others. Even as his illness progressed, he could be found helping fellow residents at the Assisted Care Center. He was known as an easy-going person who was always willing to lend a hand. Dave is survived by his sister Vicki Kuster and her family, as well as his niece Heather Kraft and her family. Services will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 with a gathering to celebrate his life immediately after at the Ken Caryl Community Center in the Sunshine Room. Ft.
